- Writing stories using information provided by others. For example, I have written stories about how companies work with customers to solve problems. For Magnet hospitals, I have written and edited stories about performance improvement initiatives, nursing excellence, and so on to show how narratives support the Sources of Evidence.
- Editing and organizing for a logical flow of information, paragraph and sentence transitions, sentence structure, etc. Revising for clarity, word choice, basic grammar, and style. For Magnet hospitals, evaluating the narratives for how well they support the Sources of Evidence.
- Writing stories and articles for a website to help people write their life stories. www.lifestorylegacy.net.
Professional Background My background includes over 4 years as a freelance writer/editor and 18 years with Glencoe/McGraw-Hill working on technical and healthcare education learning materials. I also have an English degree from Illinois State University and a Master’s degree from Boise State University in Instructional & Performance Technology.
